Rayann Merrill Snow
Riding since the age of 5, Rayann has found her passion in life being on the back of a horse. She has taken horses to National and World shows, winning world and national titles, horse of the year awards, and tons of ribbons and prizes along the way. Training with multiple different barns and instructors throughout her life has provided her with a collection of skills that not most people can say they possess. "You can learn a lot from a lot of different people, and putting all that information together helps me to work with horses of all different mindsets and skill levels. Every horse is different and knowing so many different ways to approach certain horses allows me to work and communicate with them at a whole new level." While her main focus is on western style riding, Rayann also enjoys taking the time to practice the english disciplines as well. She finds it important to know a little bit of everything. "It makes for a more rounded rider. If you can take the time to learn more, and believe me there is a whole lot to learn out there, you will be a better rider overall. Take the knowledge while you can get it, don't be afraid to ask questions, and push yourself. Strive to make yourself better. If you get better, your horse will get better, and never blame the horse." Rayann's goal at Donoma Stables is to create an environment where anyone feels welcome, from the beginner, through advanced riders. "We're all here for the same reason, because we love horses. Beginners shouldn't feel intimidated, we were all beginners at one point in our lives." |
